Heir of Fire : A Review

4/5 Stars

“Celaena has survived deadly contests and shattering heartbreak-but at an unspeakable cost. Now, she must travel to a new land to confront her darkest truth…a truth about her heritage that could change her life-and her future-forever. Meanwhile, brutal and monstrous forces are gathering on the horizon, intent on enslaving her world. Will Celaena find the strength to not only fight her inner demons, but to take on the evil that is about to be unleashed?”

After reading this book for forever, I finally finished it last night. It took me so long to finish this book and I have lots of reasons of why it did.

When I finished reading Crown of Midnight, I was so excited to continue reading the series that I immediately ordered Heir of Fire on the online bookstore. When it arrived, I picked it up immediately, hoping that it would be a phenomenal read. However, I was a tad bit dissapointed by it. Continue reading “Heir of Fire : A Review”

April TBR!

Hello, booklions! Today I’m going to talk about my April TBR which are :

  1. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

I have started this book last month but I failed to finish it because I was in a bit of a slump so I’m continuing with this book this month. So far, I’m really enjoying the story.

2. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

This book is supposed to be my TBR for last month and I didn’t even touch it so reading it this month.

3. The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michele Hodkin

I have tried reading the sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer for a few months but I just couldn’t seem to get into it and finish it, so I’m trying again this month and hopefully I can manage to read this book.

4. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

This was also supposed to be my TBR for last month but I’m going to read it this month as I’ve heard lots of amazing things about it.

5. Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

I have finished reading the first book for a few months now and I think it’s time to go back into this book and the world.

So, how many books are you planning this month? Have you read any of these? What are your thoughts?

March Wrap-up!

Hello, bookies! I’m back with my March wrap-up! Unfortunately, I only managed to read three books this month. This happened because I was busy with college and I was just in a big TV show mood so I abandoned my books and just watched TV shows 😛 Well, here are the books I read in the month of March :

  1. Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch : This book is seriously amazing! I gave it 4/5 stars. There were some unique elements in the book and I love the magic system! Also plot twists!
  2. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen : This is my first Sarah Dessen book and I have to say I was dissapointed. It had just the right amount of romance and family. Will definitely pick up her other works!
  3. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes : This book is everything! It broke my heart to little pieces. The story was amazing and so was the characters! It made me cry and I want to watch the movie now!

So, that’s all for my wrap-up. Hopefully I can read more books next month.

So how many books did you guys read in the month of March? Which one did you like best?

Me Before You : A Review

5 billion stars for this amazing book!

“Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time.”

This book is the death of me.

I was very excited to finally read this book because it was everywhere, and by everywhere, I mean everywhere on bookstagram. Everyone has been saying how amazing it is and how it’ll break my heart in the best way possible. And they are totally right about breaking my heart.

When it arrived in the mail, I immediately picked it up because I’ve been waiting too long. This is the kind of book that I couldn’t stop thinking whenever I was not reading it. I couldn’t concentrate on anything else. I stopped doing something because I wanted to finish the book and couldn’t wait for the ending which has successfully broke my heart into little pieces.

Me Before You is the book that just might change my life. I love both the main male and female characters. I understand why Will wanted to do what he wanted to do. I hated that I had to agree with him and with what he wanted to do. I also understand why Louisa wanted to stop him from doing it. She has done everything to stop him when he didn’t want to be stopped.

This book put me in lots of feelings. Sometimes I laughed so hard at the jokes in the books, but then it got so sad that I cried. I love the relationship between the characters in the book. A character that I don’t really like was Louisa’s boyfriend. He’s so selfish and only thinks about himself.

I realized throughout this book that I am a lot like Louisa. I’m a small town girl who’s never been anywhere. Reading this book has made me become so excited about life beyond my small town. It has made me excited about traveling, seeing the world, and experiencing it.

If you haven’t read the book, please do. Yes, it will break your heart. Yes, it will cry your heart out. But it will be in the best way possible.

Top 6 Books I Want to Re-Read

I have to be honest, I’m not a re-reader. At least not yet. Why would I re-read books that I’ve read when I have tons of other books that needs to be read? Well, because they’re amazing and they deserve a second chance to be read 😛 So, in no particular order, here are 5 books that I would re-read :

  1. 13547135

This book got all what I want in a book. Crazy and unreliable female protagonist, male protagonist who is hot and speaks with British accent, and strange and very dark story. Highly recommended!

What book made you weep like a baby? It’s this book. And what book put you in a reading slump after reading it? It’s also this book. And I would make the time in the world to be able to read and feel all those feelings I got when I was reading this book.

A beautiful love story with two very different characters. This is the kind of book that made me want to have a boyfriend. If you haven’t read it, what are you doing with your life?

I love me some traveling books. Out of all traveling books that I’ve read, this is the best one yet. It’s not just about traveling and being in love but also about discovering oneself. And it takes place in some of the most beautiful cities in the world.

THIS BOOK! If there’s a book that I recently just finished and want to re-read, it’s this book. If there’s a book that I would like to be adapted into a movie, it’s this book. This is a book about lost love and second chance. GO READ IT!

I read this book a long time ago when I was still in junior high. At the time, I found this book very interesting and intriguing. You should definitely check this one out! It’s amazeballs!

So, those are the 6 books that I’d love to re-read. Are you a re-reader? What books would you like to read if you have the time?
